Large Properties Breakfast Club

The Large Properties Breakfast Club is a discussion group for people who want to share ideas about how to make the landscapes of large privately-owned properties more ecologically sustainable.
The in-person group is sponsored by Arlington Regional Master Naturalists and open to all interested parties, inside and outside Arlington County.
The goal is to share ideas and experiences on topics such as: installing native plants and removing invasives; managing natural areas; leaf management; working with volunteers; turf management; use of landscape companies; tree planting; management of organics and recycling; snow management; mosquito management; light pollution; rain collection; and transportation.
Large property holders such as condominiums and religious institutions have the power to implement things in a bigger way, but they must also manage various constituencies and contractors.
The discussion group will launch on Monday, Jan 13, 7:30 a.m., at Ruthie’s All Day restaurant in Arlington, which offers coffee and tea, pastries, or a full breakfast.
