I was so pleased to read your letter to the editor in the WAPO today, Ms Helget. I live in the City of Alexandria and feel as if I am the only one in my area who refuses to use pesticides and herbicides. Of course, I have weeds and invasive species (including bamboo coming into my back yard) that I am trying to get rid of and not doing a very good job. Anyway, I subcribed to your newsletter. Thank you for urging common sense that will return us to a healthy, living earth.
